PES 2016 Guide
PES 2016 is a video game produced by Konami and released on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. It's the latest edition of the popular Pro Evolution Soccer series and aims to take the gameplay to a new level.
The new physics engine, along with a number of AI tweaks, make PES feel significantly more fluid and responsive than last year. It's still behind FIFA in terms of graphics, but it's a significant step in the right direction.
Dribbling - Passing in this game is so much more fluid and responsive than in previous versions, which means passing with the likes of Neymar, Hazard and Sanchez feels absolutely incredible. They're so good at picking their moment to burst forward and if you can time it just right, you can be very effective with them.
Fights for the ball - In previous PES games, challenges for possession were binary exchanges where either a tackle worked or didn't, with players just falling over and letting the ball go. That's no longer the case, thanks to a brilliant collision system that brings new life to fights for the ball.
While the collision system isn't perfect, it does bring a lot of new life to combats for the ball. It doesn't rely on canned animations of players falling over, but instead uses real-world player actions such as barging back and scrambling for balance when their shins are clipped. It's a fantastic improvement and will certainly delight players who appreciate the physicality of the modern game.
